Greetings my Friends,
As I mentioned in my previous ENTRY for Beach Wednesday Contest, we have many beautiful beaches in Toronto area. Although, they may not be as beautiful as Tropical beaches, I am grateful for what we have. I actulay never been on Tropical beach, because there was always something else I had to take care of first. However, I am sure I will go soon. It is my dream and it will come true πππ
In the meantime, I will share the beautiful beaches surrounding Lake Ontario. This one is at the Toronto Island that we visited many times and it's obviously very busy during the summer. But first, a photo I took from a ferry, on the way to the island.
I tried to find angles with as little people as possible, but I have to admit, I had deleted a few, lol. However, they are moments, when I like to capture people as well, like in this case. These two guys were having lots of fun on those scooters. I was standing on the bridge and the first one actually saw me taking photo of them and blew me a kiss, lol. If he only knw I was grandma π
Here I am! Happy grandma, with my precious boys amongst the beautiful flowers there.
I truly miss summer and I cannot wait for it to come back. Well, I love spring too; I'll be happy when I see first green buds and flowers. Last year was warm already in April and we were at the cottage by the SAND LAKE. I shared the trip with you HERE. To bad the cottage is sold. It was my son in law's clients and we were able to go there sometimes.
Anyway, back to the Toronto Island beach and the beautiful view.
Mister Gull wasn't shy at all as most of them aren't, quite the opposite. They can be a nuisance when people on the beach trying to eat. They come so close, begging for food, lol.
Ducks on the other hand are always so sweet, never bothering anyone.
Oh and of course, this Island is a haven for Monarchs and other butterflies. The city of Toronto make sure they have all the flowers they love especially butterfly bush. Although I didn't take photos of as many flowers as I usually do, the landscaping is marvelous there. It is also full of bees, dragonflies and birds.
Pink Anemone, one of my favorite flowers πΈππΈ
There is also lots of bridges, but this one is my favorite. It must be the oldest one.
Wen we were going home it was already late, just in time for sunset. Everybody were snapping phots from the ferry.
Thank you so much for visiting and I wish you a wonderful rest of the week πππ
