Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. This digest intends to bring to light all those authors who often remain unnoticed and therefore reward all those who create quality posts, leading them to establish themselves on the platform. But that's not all!
After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?
The title of the latest artwork by armandosodano is “Urban desert”. In particular, the artist is dealing with a topic that is very dear to him: industrial environments. “I share an oil painting on canvas that represents the heaviness and monochrome of industrial sites, considered to be real urban deserts. […] The industry has no colors and for this reason I limited myself to using the monochromatic tones of browns, blacks and havana, the color of an arid desert” the artist said. Don’t miss this wonderful painting!
Today romanskv shares with us a very colorful and beautiful drawing made with ballpoint pen and wax pencils. “In the UK, cats bring about 220 million victims a year, a third of which are birds. In the United States, free-living cats kill between 1.4 and 3.7 billion birds a year, the number of mammals killed ranges between 6.6 and 20.7 billion” this is how this nice post starts.
In this post you can find a beautiful photo by monoldonchev inspired by an urban landscape. “Recently, I have been in a period of time flowing too fast for me to shoot regularly for my own pleasure. There are moments, though, like blue hours with fog, snow, and electric light, which just don't leave one resting if that one knows a camera is within reach” the author told us. Don’t miss this nice picture!
The main subject of today’s video by tntdabomb is Armanda XII, an impenetrable warship that is fitted for intergalactic warfare. The piece of art was realized thanks to Blender, and in particular the artist experimented with some modifiers in order to achieve the final result: simple deform, solidify, mirror and smooth. “I am a huge fan of sci-fi art” the author told us.
