Lazy (Painful) Day
The day started quite slowly for me-- I had to attend a remote meeting in the wee hours of the morning and perhaps that contributed to my very bad headache the whole day. After the chores and a short homeschooling session with the kids, I decided to take paracetamol for my headache and took a nap.
Fluffy, our cat, hasn't also been feeling too well. She's been detached since last night and the whole day today. We looked everywhere in the house for her, but we could not fine her. I thought she spent the whole night under our bed but she wasn't there. Turns out we were not looking hard enough. Little Man found her snuggled inside our wardrobe.
Upon checking, we found out that she has bad ears -- ear mites perhaps. Poor cat. No wonder why she's not acting normal. So I went out to go to the veterinary supplies shop across the road to get her something for her ears.
The Little Man gladly came with me. The shop was just a few meters away from the foot bridge.
Shorter Days and the Hunt for Yellow
The days are definitely getting shorter as the days go by. The sun was getting ready to set when we got out of the shop. Here's the sun at 5:15pm, with the Umm Al Emarat Park in view.
After getting the meds for Fluffy, Little Man and I went back home. I sat down for a few minutes and browsed through some posts here on Hive.
I found this contest from the Asean Hive Community, Finding Yellow. It's quite interesting, so I decided to start hunting for some yellow subjects if I were to join the contest.
It was a quarter before six when I got up and started my hunt. Again, I walked the same route I had yesterday.
A few blocks away from home, I found this. Do you think I'm off to a good start at finding yellow? I'll mke sure to share those photos in my contest entry in the coming days.
The hubs and I tended to Fluffy when we came home. The poor cat. Hopefully, the meds will make her feel better soon.
