Kolejne nocne spacerowanie za mną. Najczęściej w trakcie aktywności tego typu słucham audiobooków, w ten sposób łącze przyjemne z... przyjemnym. Wczoraj słuchałem ostatnich rozdziałów "Smolarza" Przemysława Piotrowskiego. Każdy, kto choć raz miał w rękach którąś z książek tego autora z niezniszczalnym komisarzem Igorem Brudnym w roli głównej, wie doskonale, że tę serię cechuje szczególne okrucieństwo, bezwzględność i zwyrodnienie oprawców. Słuchanie tak mrocznych książek w trakcie nocnego spaceru po pustych i ciemnych uliczkach daje niezapomniane wrażenia. Kilka razy oglądałem się za siebie, bo wydawało mi się, że słyszę kogoś za sobą.

Yesterday I listened to the last chapters of Przemysław Piotrowski's "Smolarz". Anyone who has ever read one of Piotrowski's books featuring the indestructible detective Igor Brudny knows that this series is characterised by the cruelty, ruthlessness and degeneracy of the perpetrators. Listening to such dark books while walking through empty and dark streets at night is an unforgettable experience. Several times I looked back because I thought I heard someone behind me.

Po południu krótki spacer po Mons, przy okazji zajrzeliśmy do Rity, dużo się ostatnio dzieje wokół mnie, kilka spraw jest rozgrzebanych i czeka na ciąg dalszy, ale to nie jest zależne ode mnie. Nie lubię takich sytuacji, bo lubię mieć wszystko pod kontrolą, a obecnie jestem zależny w kilku sprawach od innych. Na przykład, w piątek wygaśnie oferta kredytu hipotecznego z banku, którą otrzymałem ponad tydzień temu, warunki były korzystne, ale nie mogę jej zaakceptować bez przesłania do banku wstępnej umowy zakupu mieszkania. Dopiero wczoraj wieczorem dostałem od notariusza projekt tej umowy, ale jej fizyczne podpisanie będzie możliwe najwcześniej w przyszłym tygodniu, czyli ponownie będę musiał skontaktować się z bankiem w sprawie kredytu i liczyć na równie dobre warunki w nowej propozycji.

[ENG] In the afternoon a short walk around Mons, we took the opportunity to have a look at Rita, there's a lot going on around me lately, some things are festering and waiting to be continued, but it's not up to me. I don't like situations like that because I like to be in control and currently I am dependent on others for some things. For example, a mortgage offer from the bank that I received over a week ago expires on Friday, the conditions were favourable, but I cannot accept it without sending a preliminary agreement to the bank to purchase the flat. I only received a draft of this agreement from the notary last night, but it will not be possible to physically sign it until next week at the earliest, which means I will have to contact the bank again about the loan and hope for equally good terms in the new proposal.

Wieczorem odstresowaliśmy się ze znajomymi, za chwilę okres wakacyjny i zapewne kolejne takie spotkanie będzie możliwe dopiero po wakacjach.

[ENG] In the evening we relaxed with friends, the holidays are just around the corner and the next meeting will probably be after the holidays.
