We had a light and fluffy dusting of snow yesterday during which I worked feverishly to clean up fall leaves.
This morning was a new day! The fresh snow enticed me outdoors. The temperature was just above freezing, but I was cozy in a jacket, hat and gloves. It was so beautiful!
It always amazes me how long the ducks and geese hang around. I want to shout at them to head south. “The deep cold is coming! Run for your lives!”
As I walked along the path by the lake, the sun emerged and created some dramatic views of the sky.
My walk actually began and ended at a beautiful war memorial that I often visit, as it is right at the start of my walk in that area. The first picture shows what a cold gray it started out to be. The second one shows how the sun came out to speckle itself through the clouds, creating a dramatic backdrop for my morning walk.

For my final picture with a “funky edit” I give you a pumpkin that I brought in from the snow, so I can cook it before it freezes. I edited it to make it a monochrome, which really highlights the snow.
