It was an unplanned walk today. Me and my partner initially decided to go see our friend because her brother died just yesterday. Because of this pandemic, wakes are limited and short lived. Before pandemic it had been our practice to hold our wakes at least five days. One reason is that to give time for family and friends especially those who are far and had to travel. This time though because of fear of the virus as much as possible limit the time. My friend's brother's remains is scheduled to be buried tomorrow.
We had to wait for our friend for we don't where is her brother's house is where the wake is held.
Me and my partner then spent time admiring the arts at a nearby establishment where works of local artists are displayed.
Once she arrived, we then headed straight to her brother's house. It was some distance from the main road and it was already late and night is falling quickly so our visit was cut short.
I wish we could have stayed longer but we had a some walk ahead of us and we are not familiar with the area. We then said our goodbyes and went home while there is still light although it was getting dark.
