Work hard and play hard!
I have always heard many said...
However, for this case, it us work hard and feast hard!
2024 has a lot of shifting changes occurred around me; from house cleansing, to office clean up.
Decades of "references" that are out dated, now piled with dust and no one bothers to go look into it because its just no longer usable.
Those that could be donated were donated out such as unused mugs for the children's home has been supporting.
Others that needs to go to the landfill, everyone had to muscle up and get it all chucked out from our office 3 floors up, without elevator .
That was one heck of a workout!
Of course after all the hard work, there's a HUGE PRICE waiting for us.
The amount of good that was pot-luck (chipped in) as part of the 1-month Eid celebration was unprecedented.
I think we got all our calories back with overflow. π
We were fed to the brim
With our colleague's generosity and love.
Nevertheless, everyone enjoyed a good break for the day.
Let's have a look some of the yummy good we consumed:
The yellow ones are called "roti jala" which is called as "net pancakes" because they were made like a "net" and then folded into a rectangular while cooking.
The tub behind the roti jala is curry chicken.
The "orange" one is actually spicy glazed wraps.
We also have chocolate cheese cake, which is actually a little too sweet, even for the cheese layer, but still yummy nonetheless, just can't eat too many pieces at a go, unless taking double shot espresso. π
Others we had a huge serving of watermelon, barbecue skewers (Satay), local desserts like Seri Muka (yellow and green), noodles and vermicelli for soupy savory meals... the food availability felt like infinity βΎοΈ π€£
But we decided each to pack some home, and that's where my family gets to have a feast the next day celebrating my mom's birthday as well.
