It’s officially turtle season here in the Ozarks! and I have seen a few this week, but today they were all over our trail. It’s so much fun to see them, and they weren’t shy today. In this area we have tons of native Three Toed Box Turtles.
We were finally able to take Mia the Wonder Aussie along with us.
She hadn’t been to the vet for her yearly heartworm test thanks to our family’s extended bout with Covid-19 prolonging her appointment, and therefore couldn’t take her preventative medication yet.
We were able to get her in yesterday at long last. She passed her test (yay, no heart worms! 🤢), and we immediately put her on her preventative parasite meds so she could join us on the trail once more. She was beyond happy to get back out in the woods!
She did a great job hiking for the first time this season. She decided to lay down right in the middle of the creek, so maybe it’ll take some time for her to get used to the exercise and the heat again!
All #photography in this post was taken by me, , with my iPhone6, of our #aliveandthriving #actifit #ozarklife. Thanks for reading! 🦋
