It’s only the second Saturday this year without a mountains hiking trip. The first had been my Dad’s birthday back in January...
On Thursday night I came down with, let’s call it “gastric flu”, to spare you the details. Friday was very bad, I didn’t eat and felt dizzy when uptight. Most of the day in bed. I had only the common sense to drink a lot of water.
So I had to cancel my today’s trip.
When I woke up today, the dizziness was gone. I had a light breakfast and decided to do some house chores. All good, so I went to a local grocery. Still nothing wrong, so I had a light meal and waited for effects. Nothing unwanted - this made me think I could actually go for a walk. It turned out to be 12km, but my pace (11:15min/km) was significantly slower than my normal. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but as I went, I felt better and better. Perhaps a cool April weather helped. I like to walk along a river and into a forest, bu my route was carefully planned with… restrooms strategically placed 😀Fortunately, I didn’t need to use them. Good!
Apart from being well again -
- I have saved the day in
(missed the target two previous days);
- made an attempt to stay in
(with 1k steps on Friday I have to count on my rivals being too busy to be active 😀) and
- I think I have managed a decent result in today's
duel vs
Happy Easter, be #AliveAndThriving!
