The good for today was that I definitely caught up on sleep as I woke up as late as I could remember for this past year. My body and mind were in need of this recovery; my back in particular. The judge is still out on if I am indeed feeling better so I have decided to take an extended break from formal workouts while I figure that out. I did not focus on any cardio or pacing today but glad I got past a minimum.
In an effort to keep my body a bit on alert, I did do a very short trigger session with some bodyweight exercises to stimulate the muscles a bit. Interestingly, I had no pain in my back while doing them which male whatever I have more of a mystery as it surely does not seem muscle related. I will take a couple of days off for now to see the progress. My hope is to offset with better food choices but that remains a challenge being with family and friends during the holidays.
