Greetings,
Walking can be sport. Oh it actually is...
The way professional athletes walkers
walk is very demanding for the body and trains muscles you normally don't use.
If you try to imitate their technique you're bound to have a bunch of sore muscles the next and most probably the day after as well.
But it is a great and healthy change to running especially if you have some joint issues and don't have a chance to run on a softer soil like grass.
So walked today, fast. The app seems to not always count the steps without opening it first which meant I missed quite some of the steps but hey, at least I had fun and got the view snapped up as well.
Heart rate is considerably lower when walking compared to running so I will categorize today's training session as light aerobic exercise. All in all covered over 15km and happy with the high of the fresh sea air intoxication.
I would say I am a sea person. Meaning most of my life I have lived, am living currently and can only envision myself as living close by or straight at the beach.
Surf's up!!!
Loving it,
Ott
