Hello fitness junkeys,
Today got back to running. Some 8km.
45 minutes.
Some change, development compared to a few weeks back when starting with 6.20 a km was a push as legs came out of winter hibernation. 5.30 a km seemed to come with ease. For a while at least. Overall endurance will accumulate further with the right amount of exercise and rest.
Heart rate aerobic/anaerobic level seems to be around 165 bpm meaning body can handle higher tempo and heartbeat frequency while retaining ability to absorb and use oxygen efficiently meaning I'm not running in the anaerobic regime meaning the muscles are not being overwhelmed by lactic acid and I can run in these conditions for a longer period without needing a rest to
process the lactic acid.
Just some fancy (probably right) words from school and books no biggie :)
Got a sign from above about being on the right track as well... :P
Tomorrow will assess the effects of today's extended tempo on my body and choose the exercises accordingly.
Remember, comeback is a marathon not a sprint, no need to exhaust yourself in the starting corridor and fight the rest of the journey. Lasting fitness is built step by step.
Enjoy the weekend,
Ott
