Hi,
Today some variety. A special Sunday yard work with my son. Raking leaves, climbing trees, mowing the lawn and then some circles around the house for exercise. Moving nevertheless :)
Need to refocus on a bit more strength and muscle building. If you only run and forget the exercises to strengthen the core muscles of your body you can lose weight and potentially also be more susceptible to injuries. An established balance between aerobic and strength training will help bulid an overall better base to tune your physique on.
A variety of lower back and abdominal muscle exercises will make sure you have a strong centre to lean on and will also give you greater control over your muscle movements in general.
Sit-ups, planks, squats, lower back strengthening. Glutes are an extremely important muscle group to focus on.
They connect the upper and lower body, strong glutes lessen the workload and strain on hamstrings and protect the lower back from injuries.
I am integrating those exercises to my daily schedule. You can start with 1-2 series for each muscle group, just to get going, muscle building starts with minimum three series of repetitions to each muscle group.
Also, I see that exercising outdoors is much more enjoyable and I think also more effective as the sun and fresh air play their part in getting you healthy and keeping your vitality.
So get out and be happy :)
Have a lovely springtime
Blessings,
Ott
