Hello everyone π,
Happy Monday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, the holiday season slowly approaching, a new week and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done π¨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breezeπ. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some crypto new which I will share next. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going πΉ. Today was independence day- 59 years gone by since independence, the British did the most in the colonial era. Unfortunately they will never pay for the human abuses and atrocities committed back thenπ.
Globally more political shenanigans πΉ as four people charged in EU parliament corruption investigation. Belgian police are investigating MEP's thought to be receiving huge sums of money allegedly from a Qatari official to influence decisions π.
The situation in Ukraine remained the same. Monday reports of four people killed as Russia attacked the south and east with drowns. Leaving millions without power in the middle of winter π.
Elsewhere, the UK is bracing itself for strike action. Nurses, rail workers, border force, postal workers among people likely to down their tools as inflation rate has made living difficult π.
Also trending,Iran publicly carried out second protest related executionπ. This time in Mashad on a 23 year old man who reportedly stabbed two security guards. Human rights decrying the lack of due process.
Across the pond in the US, the Libyan man who made the Lockerbie bomb was today arraigned in a Washington court. It's been 34 years since that crime and hopefully justice will be carried out π―.
Over in Peru, unrelenting protesters blocked a major highway, stormed the airport π. Demanding new elections and release of the detained president.
