Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, the holiday season is still here, as the new year fell on Sunday so Monday becomes an off day. It's also the first week of the year and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away💨.
So I had two major walks in the morning and evening. Started off the day with the fast paced morning session; today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. After a bit of resting, I did the usual household chores. Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹, a quiet day as people still enjoying the festive season. However, tomorrow is a working day as we begin the long month of January😹.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the Ukrainian army attacked a Russian military bases in the Donetsk region 🙀. Russia later saying 63 of its soldiers were killed in the attack. What are they doing on Ukrainian land? They need to leave💯.
Also trending, Israeli forces shot and killed two Palestinians in the occupied west Bank area. Protests broke out as Israeli forces demolished the houses of two Palestinians charged with killing an Israeli soldier🙀.
Across the pond in Brazil, the body of Pele laid in state at his former club in Santos. People filed by paying their last respect to the soccer superstar 😭. Tomorrow on Tuesday, a parade carrying his body will go around the city.
In Bolivia, protesters clashed with police over the arrest of a governor. It got quite ugly as several cars were torched 🙀.
Finally in crazy weather, California is bracing for more heavy rain after days of flooding 🙀.
