First thing every morning I clean out the water bowls and replace the water with fresh filtered water!
Cot and Cyle still prefer to drink from our kitchen faucet, and now they want Phoenix’s fresh water!😇
With over 80% chance of rain today, we decided to drive to Home Depot to pick up more house paint.
This would be the first “separation” of Liz and Silvertop from Phoenix………..😲
Phoenix has a stockpile of furry squeaky toys to entertain her, and we were hoping she would sleep most of the morning……..
While the paint department was mixing up a couple of gallons of paint, Liz was “California Dreamin” out in the garden center!🥰
Of course a couple of mocha Frappuccino‘s is always on the shopping list!😇
One of the strange things we discovered in the Northwest was numerous summer road closures…………
Growing up in Cincinnati, when road repairs were needed, they would reduce lanes that were open and continue to allow vehicular traffic to continue…………..
Not so here Lol!🤣
One major highway to town closed at the end of June for five months…….
Now in addition they are closing the “detour” flat road you see near the end of my post at the end of August with no date of reopening!😳
One of Liz’s coworkers said she was running late, she was driving in circles Lol!😳
The third to last photo is the reason for this second major road closure…………
This small creek, really an irrigation ditch, is considered a Salmon Creek.
They are building what they call a “Fish Ladder”!
Rivers….. large creek, but this is a bit overkill for a road closure………🤔
By the time we made It back home, Phoenix was running through the house excited to see us!🥰
