I really felt like crap this morning as I didn't sleep well at all last night and was up constantly with a killer cough. As soon as I fell asleep I'd end up having a coughing fit that had me awake.
Lulu was taking it easy on our 2 miler this morning and I wasn't in the mood to push her along so we just had a very relaxed stroll. I was glad just to have gotten it done without too much trouble but this respiratory bug is really knocking me back.
It was then off to Lynx Creek again but this time it was along a more more gentle forest road that pretty much ran parallel to the creek but on the opposite side of the hills. This road is also very popular with off road riders but today we didn't have any company as we headed uphill.
No rough rocks to trip me up and it was great to see nice little bit of slowly flowing water in an otherwise very dry Lynx area. Lulu was thrilled that she spotted a couple of squirrels and quickly gave chase but they quickly zipped to safety high in the trees and loudly chattered at Lulu.
There is a teacher of private land on the route so we had to head off the road for a bit before heading back once we came to the property fencing that blocked any further travel and it was back down to our starting point at the Forest Service campground. Of course there was time for Lulu to enjoy the rare clear water in the forest and cool her tired little legs.
