Back in Cottonwood after a very hot and tiring day prospecting down in Stanton where 100 degree heat and blowing dust made for a miserable although nice fat Western Diamondback rattlesnake didn't seem to mind the heat (but it didn't appreciate my presence).
By the time I started my run it was noontime and the thermometer was at 90 degrees so my route was an easy and hot 5 km loop around the neighboring with the small scrub oaks along the Blowout Trail providing only a little relief from the blazing sun.
I still felt really tired from yesterday's trip but my run on the trail wasn't too bad but I felt really listless once I hit the road. Thankfully that last mile or so was flat and then a long downhill which helped me finish my run at a decent pace.
Another hot day in the forecast tomorrow so Lulu plan an early trip to the hills and Lynx Creek.
