Yesterday was a great food day apparently as we round out our vacation today. Sushi by the Oceanside is as great as it sounds.
Right now, we are sitting on the pool deck enjoying one last meal with a double rum and soda as our vacation comes to a close. We ended up ordering a second double rum and soda from Notario because, “why not? Bacation!”
My office for the week had a pretty good view but I will have to admit, I didn’t get much work done.
One last bit of jiu jitsu training with the gang and they packed up the mats for transfer back to the Mexican academy that so graciously supplied them.
It doesn’t feel like we were in the middle of a global pandemic and this was only possible because everyone is double vaccinated and had to provide a negative COVID test in order to participate. It still feels like a miracle not to have contracted it here but only because the group is so large. Be careful at home, show up negative with the test, and enjoy each others company.
Milking every drop of fun from the last night of our stay, we spent the night on a karaoke tour. We only got to 4 karaoke bars before they shut down for the night, having restricted hours. Nothing like dropping a little heavy metal on the locals and picking the best known sing along songs like Faithfully from Journey
I will probably have stories to tell here for weeks so thank you for following our journey. Stay tuned for my return to reality sprinkled with tales I didn’t get to tell yet. There are MANY!
