What's that up the back???

"What the feck is ThreeTuneTuesday?" I hear you...So, every Tuesday I pick three songs, sometimes all three from the same artist, sometimes three tunes from a particular genre, other times three songs from a certain country - you get the idea. I've always asked others to get involved and over the past few weeks, that is exactly what's happened and we now have some ThreeTune regulars which is only mighty! The ask is to basically choose three songs to share. You can sing them or hum them or just pick three from an artist you love like I do.

Here is a link to last week's post - at the end I said that I would pick someone who shared some decent tunes and give them a share in Hive basic income courtesy of me. Once again, we had some top class entries and new songs for our collective ears, which is class.

Hive account@nathen007. It's great to see new people getting involved and I am learning about so much new music, as well as remembering old classics. If you get a chance, click into #ttt or #threetuneteusday and support each too and expand those musical horizons for your ears. I do my best to get around and listen to all of the tunes each week, and I have managed it so far, 40 weeks in.

Hive Basic Income

Again for the benefit of new readers, are you new to Hive? Are you struggling to get support on those first posts of yours? Have you come back to Hive recently and are struggling in a similar fashion? If so, I would advise you to keep an eye out for competitions that offer you Hive Basic Income shares. It is a win win situation too for the person sharing the shares, as the person sharing them also gets a share of HBI for each one they share with someone else - what's not to like about this model. You get rewarded for being kind to someone else, in fact it is like a microcosm of what the Hive blockchain actually is from a curation perspective too.

The Tunes

We had 18 tunes this week and they were all class, I must admit, making it tough for me to pick out a winner, really tough!

Hive account@blanchy and I seem to have very similar taste in music and he went for an Irish favorite of both of ours this week. Blanchy goes to a Bellx1 concert every year with his wife and this is their band so to speak, although this year Blanchy's wife will be carrying him to the Gig, why you ask? Click on over to his ThreeTuneTuesday post from last week to find out. I opted for Rocky Took a Lover, which is about two homeless people having an argument and will leave you emotional, but not necessarily sad.

Hive account@sagesigma is at it again this week pulling together three varied and quality tunes that all have a common theme, they have all appeared on Volkswagon ads over the years and the second one which I will share below has a special meaning for him. His Grandma said of the song "well, that is a pretty song." and she was no mistaken. No doubt she is shining down on you and yours from on high sagesigma - thanks for sharing that memory with us - this is what makes us human. Three great songs again this week - I really love the Nick Drake album Pink Moon, so that one really hit the spot.

I think if we had a prize for consistency, effort and randomness of tunes, then our own Hive account@blackdaisyft would be winning that one, as she brings us another trio of fantastically different tunes this week. Hands up who knows what a Theremin is? Don't know, yep neither did I, but it's feckin class, pop over to blackdaisyft's post from last week to see what this mysterious instrument is. If I said it could make sounds without being touched would you believe me? She also went for a them this week and it was Jamming which was a cool take. The tune of choose features the Theremin - check it out below - feckin mad.

We welcome back Hive account@cmplxty this week, who always treats us to a trio of top tiffing tunes and this week is no different, with tunes from Hippo Campus, Inhaler and The Naked and Famous. Truth be told I didn't know which one to include below, as they were all really listenable, I went for The Naked and Famous in the end which was new on me, but not new to many it seems, with 28 million plays and counting since 2011. Keep them coming man.

Which leaves us with newcomer Hive account@nathen007 who really took to ThreeTuneTuesday with huge aplomb. I not only thoroughly enjoyed your choice of Tom Waits songs, but equally enjoyed hearing you describe him as "he bastard spawn of Hive account@edprivat and Hive account@dandays!" and filling us in on your thoughts about each tune. Tom is immensely talented and also really cares about his fans and goes to great lengths to make sure that ticket touts cannot buy up all of the tickets for his concerts. Great shout including Tom, I think I did a trio of Tom's a good while back, so delighted to see him included for a second time.
