Hace algunos días conseguí algunos videos de mis inicios a los 12 años interpretando la 5ta sinfonía de Dmitri Shostakovich.
A few days ago I found some videos of my beginning when I was 12 performing Dmitri Shostakovich 5th Symphony.

La sinfonía n.º 5, en re menor, op. 47, fue compuesta por Dmitri Shostakóvich entre abril y julio de 1937, y estrenada en Leningrado por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Leningrado bajo la dirección de Yevgueni Mravinski, el 21 de noviembre del mismo año.
Symphony n 5° in D minor, op. 47 was composed by Dmitri Shostakóvich between april and july of 1937 and released in Leningrad for Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yevgueni Mravinski on novermber 21st of the same year.
La obra tuvo un enorme éxito el día de su estreno, y según Mstislav Rostropóvich recibió un aplauso de por lo menos cuarenta minutos.
The work was very successful the day of its release and according to Mstislav Rostropóvich it received ovation for at least 40 minutes.
Actualmente es uno de los trabajos más populares del compositor
Currently it is one of the most popular works of the composer.
Cuando estaba en mi primera orquesta juvenil solíamos interpretar mucho esta sinfonía, fue una etapa de mucho crecimiento y aprendizaje, ya que esta sinfonía posee un alto nivel de dificultad e interpretar los solos con solo 12 años era un gran reto.
When I was in my first youth orchestra we used to perform a lot this symphony, it was a stage of growth and learning as this symphony has a high level of difficulty and playing the solos with just 12 years old was a big challenge.
Puedo decir que incluso llegue a tenerle temor a uno de sus solos, ya que es uno de lo mas importantes no solo de la sinfonía, si no del instrumento en general.
I can say that I even came to be afraid of one of its solos since that is one of the most important not only from the symphony but of the instrument in general.
Hace poco conseguí una grabación de aquel concierto, y fue muy nostálgico y emocionante ver el resultado de aquel día.
Recently I found a film of that concert and it was very nostalgic and exciting to see the result of that day.
Hace algunos años, ya en la Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar de Venezuela, una de las más importantes en mi país y a la que pertenezco hoy día, tuve la oportunidad de volverla a interpretar, ya no con la visión de "es un niño" si no con mucha más responsabilidad.
A few years ago, already at Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, one of the most important of my country and the one I current join, I had the chance to perform it again, no longer with the vision of "he is a boy" but with much more responsibility.
Puedo decir que ya no le tengo temor, pero sí mucho respeto. Al final fue muy satisfactorio ver el resultado de ambos conciertos, ver el gran progreso que hubo entre ambos y sobre todo ver que el sueño que tenía de niño de tocar los solos en esa gran orquesta, se hizo realidad.
I can tell that I am not afraid of it anymore, but I do respect it. In the end seeing the result of both concerts was satisfactory, especially see that the dream I had when I was a child of performing the solo with this great orchestra became true.
Lo que me hizo estar muy agradecido con cada una de las oportunidades que he tenido y hacer un pequeño recuerdo uniendo ambos videos:
