Hola a todos, les saludo en este nuevo martes, en la edición número 92 de Three Tune Tuesday, una estupenda iniciativa musical creada por el amigo 
, en la cual podemos compartir cada martes, tres canciones que forman parte de nuestra vida, que nos emocionan y son significativas para nosotros.

Para hoy les he traído a una estupenda banda, que es legendaria en América Latina, y se trata de SODA STEREO, creadores de canciones que han sido y son tarareadas aún, por millones de jóvenes y adultos de este continente, una banda argentina que fue innovadora desde todo punto de vista: Musicalmente, las letras, la forma de ejecutar los instrumentos, su estética, sus videos, ellos marcaron un antes y un después en el rock latinoamericano.
For today I have brought you a stupendous band, which is legendary in Latin America, and it is SODA STEREO, creators of songs that have been and are still hummed by millions of young people and adults in this continent, an Argentine band that was innovative from every point of view: Musically, the lyrics, the way of playing the instruments, their aesthetics, their videos, they marked a before and after in Latin American rock.
Al hacer memoria, creo que la primera canción que oí de Soda Stereo fue “Te hacen falta vitaminas” , y esto fue quizás en 1984 en alguna de las emisoras radiales de mi ciudad de aquel entonces; y me gustó mucho el sonido, una mezcla de ska, pop, rock y otros ritmos, así como letras tan inteligentes que tenían. Luego oí Sobredosis de TV , y bueno, allí comenzó mi largo romance con esta banda, romance que aún no finaliza, aún cuando ya este grupo no exista, y aunque haya muerto su voz principal, Gustavo Cerati, quien mereció mi más sincera admiración a lo largo de toda su carrera, tanto dentro como fuera de Soda Stereo, porque era simplemente un GENIO. Debo decir, que me dio una profunda tristeza que el accidente cerebrovascular que lo sumió en coma, lo haya experimentado en mi país, Venezuela, luego de haber finalizado el último concierto que él ofreció a su incondicional público. Espero que esté haciendo una gran música en el cielo.
Thinking back, I think the first song I heard by Soda Stereo was “Te hacen falta vitaminas” , and this was perhaps in 1984 on one of the radio stations in my city of that time; and I really liked the sound, a mixture of ska, pop, rock and other rhythms, as well as such intelligent lyrics that they had. Then I heard Sobredosis on TV , and well, that's where my long romance with this band began, a romance that still hasn't ended, even though this group no longer exists, and even though its main voice, Gustavo Cerati, has died, who deserved my most sincere admiration throughout his entire career, both inside and outside Soda Stereo, because he was simply a GENIUS. I must say that it made me deeply sad that he experienced the stroke that plunged him into a coma in my country, Venezuela, after having finished the last concert that he offered to his unconditional audience. I hope he is making great music in the sky.
Hoy les traje y un CD, y como muchos de los que tengo en mi colección, este fue un obsequio. Quien me lo regaló sabe bien que amo a Soda Stereo, de allí este disco tiene conmigo 10 años aproximadamente. Este álbum corresponde a la primera producción de la banda, que data del año 1984, y es homónimo al nombre del grupo Soda Stereo. Si observan bien, la portada y la superficie del disco, tienen una ilustración en base a una foto de los tres integrantes de la banda (Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio y Charly Alberti), de cuando estaban jóvenes, con colores amarillos, grises, negro, azul y rojo. La misma estética se repite en el revés del empaque del disco y adentro del mismo, en donde hay datos técnicos de la producción.
Today I brought you a CD, and like many of the ones I have in my collection, this was a gift. Who gave it to me, knows that I love Soda Stereo, from there this record has been with me for approximately 10 years. This album corresponds to the band's first production, which dates back to 1984, and is homonymous to the name of the group Soda Stereo. If you look carefully, the cover and the surface of the album have an illustration based on a photo of the three members of the band (Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti), from when they were young, with yellow, gray, black colors , blue and red. The same aesthetic is repeated on the back of the disc packaging and inside it, where there are technical production data.
Las canciones que trae este CD son 11, las primeras que sacó a la luz la banda; y si bien ya nombré dos de las canciones de este disco, hay otras que me gustan mucho. Diez de las 11 melodías fueron compuestas y escritas por Gustavo Cerati (guitarrista-vocalista), con la participación de Charly García (baterista) y Zeta Bosio (bajista), en algunas de ellas. Una sola canción no es hecha por ellos, y se trata de la bella “Trátame suavemente”, la cual fue escrita por Daniel Melero, otro músico argentino. Esta reedición corresponde el año 2007, aunque me lo regalaron en 2010 o 2012, creo.
The songs that this CD brings are 11, the first that the band brought to light; and although I have already named two of the songs on this album, there are others that I really like. Ten of the 11 melodies were composed and written by Gustavo Cerati (guitarist-vocalist), with the participation of Charly García (drums) and Zeta Bosio (bass), in some of them. Not a single song is made by them, and it is the beautiful “Trátame suavemente” , which was written by Daniel Melero, another Argentine musician. This reissue corresponds to the year 2007, although they gave it to me in 2010 or 2012, I think.

No todas las canciones que trae este álbum me gustan, pero he seleccionado tres que me gustan mucho. Inicio con “Sobredosis de TV”, una interesante canción que fusiona diversos ritmos, sobresaliendo el rock, con un intro de batería increíble (se luce Charly Alberti), y unos excelentes toques de guitarra. Aquí la voz de Cerati suena demasiado bien, y como ya mencioné, esta canción la oí por vez primera en la radio, captando mi atención de forma total. Aquí les dejo un trocito de canción y su video de una presentación en vivo, durante la gira “Me Verás Volver”.
Sobredosis de TV
Not all the songs on this album I like, but I have selected three that I really like. I start with “Sobredosis de TV”, an interesting song that fuses different rhythms, especially rock, with an incredible drum intro (Charly Alberti shines), and some excellent guitar touches. Here Cerati's voice sounds too good, and as I already mentioned, I heard this song for the first time on the radio, totally capturing my attention. Here I leave you a little piece of the song and its video of a live performance, during the “Me Verás Volver” tour.
TV Overdose
Prosigo este #ttt con la preciosa balada “Trátame suavemente”, la única canción de este disco que no fue escrita por Cerati. Y es que aunque la génesis de esta melodía fue más de índole político que romántico, sin duda alguna su letra es más allá de buena, es MAGNÍFICA, y la música, más la voz de Gustavo Cerati, la hacen lucir un millón de veces mejor que la versión original. Les dejo una estrofa de la canción y un video para que disfruten esta joya única y especial.
Alguien me ha dicho que la soledad
I continue this #ttt with the beautiful ballad “Trátame suavemente”, the only song on this album that was not written by Cerati. And it is that although the genesis of this melody was more political than romantic, without a doubt its lyrics are beyond good, it is MAGNIFICENT, and the music, plus the voice of Gustavo Cerati, make it look a million times better than the original version. Y para cerrar mi #ttt de hoy, traigo una de las canciones menos conocidas o famosas de Soda Stereo, y se trata de “Ni un segundo”, un excelente ska con una batería buenísima, y una guitarra más allá de genial. Si bien la letra no es para lanzar cohetes, la música es bien divertida y era genial para bailarla. Esta canción me trae reminiscencias de otro grupo argentino, del cual ya he hablado “Los Enanitos Verdes”, y de un grupo venezolano que luego traeré de invitados: “Desorden Público”, y esto es por el ritmo. Aquí les dejo parte de la letra, así como también un audio de una presentación en vivo del año 1985.

And the song with which I close today's #ttt is “Every little thing she does is magic”, which was the first song I heard in the 80's by The Police, and which corresponds to track 9 of this disc. I like this song a lot, because of its excellent music, beautiful lyrics, and because it was dedicated to me at the right time, (already in the 90's), so it is a beautiful memory. I also find it super fresh, fun and cool. I also leave you the official video and a part of the lyrics.
