Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday
Where to start
I was bemoaning the grey winter weather here with when lo and behold she shared the song Yellow from Coldplay.
And bam a ttt was born from that comment yesterday.
Who are Coldplay
Coldplay were formed in London in 1997 and are a British rock band. They are one of the biggest music selling acts of all time with over 100 million albums sold.
They have also taken the environment seriously.
Coldplay is known for its commitment to environmental sustainability.
Did you know that for their 2022 Music of the Spheres tour, they implemented several eco-friendly initiatives. I had vaguely heard of them, but a refresh via gemini showed me:
Renewable energy: Coldplay used solar panels, kinetic dance floors, and energy bikes to power their concerts with renewable energy.
Sustainable stage production: The stage was built using recycled and sustainable materials, and they used biodegradable confetti.
Reforestation: The band pledged to plant a tree for every ticket sold, contributing to global reforestation efforts.
Sustainable travel: They encouraged fans to use low-carbon transportation options and offset the carbon footprint of their own travel.
Good on them.
But we are here to listen to some tunes!
Tune 1 Coldplay - Yellow
Possibly the most iconic song from Coldplay, Yellow was on Coldplay's debut album Parachutes which was released in 2000.
You might recognise it without knowing why, as it is had been used all over the place.
It is very apt, as the video looks like my weather just now, grey lol and the beach and sea, well yeah that could be the same.
This is the song that put Coldplay on the map.
Tune 2 Coldplay - The Scientist
To show how big they are, this video has amassed 1.2 billion views.
Don't I wish I had a penny for each of those views lol!
If you were watching, yes your eyes aren't deceiving you.
The video was played backwards.
Chris Martin lead vocalist is so recognisable, don't you think?
Awesome lyrics, nobody said it was going to be easy.
There really are so many tunes to pick from, and I spent too long this morning listening to see what I should pick for you!
But fluff it, stick with your gut, is what I tell people, something is a fan of I know!
So here is my original third choice!
Tune 3 Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Live In São Paulo)
A true test of musical genius is when you see or hear a band/musician perform live.
We close out this ttt with a massive even anthem like song.
Viva La Vida was released in 2008 but we are live in Brazil in 2017.
I love the use of the bell, AC/DC fans might remember the fluff off big bell I showed on one of my previous ttt posts!
Right then, I am sure you know of Viva La Vida!
Which was your favourite? Or is it another Coldplay tune?
Note: The 3 YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant happy and prosperous New Year in 2025 and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶
Thanks for visiting!
