After eating a pizza, life is a little better
Sometimes it is easier than we think to make a person happy. It's just enough to plan a little, take a bit of time, invite that person to have an ice cream, have a coffee, a beer, talk with them, listen to them and that's it: the magic happens.
That's what I did these days: I spent time with two of my favorite people in the world. It wasn't an important date or anything to celebrate, so it was a surprise for them when I told them I was inviting them to have pizza.
As a result of the lack of water in my city, we are physically and mentally exhausted. Not having water to do basic things like showering, cooking, or quenching our thirst has made us fall, at times, into pessimism and despair. That’s why I told one of my sisters and my niece to go out for a while, eat pizza, and clear our minds.
It’s incredible what stepping out of the circle of complaints and doing something else can do. Already on the way to the pizzeria, we were chatting animatedly, and when we arrived, most of what we did was talk and laugh. You have no idea how many topics three women can cover when they get together. We talked about everything, except water.
The pizzas were delicious and although I am not one to drink sodas, it was the only thing available to drink because since there was no water, there were no natural juices. Eating, talking, and being present, listening to each other is a pleasurable activity that we often forget.
Before, when my nephews were little and the situation in my country was different, it was normal for us to go out to eat at least once a month. But now, when the economy is not the best, we have to do the math and check with the wallet. But on this occasion, it was not money that prevailed, but the need to talk about something else, to go out and clear our minds. Sometimes problems can weigh so much that they prevent us from moving.
At the end of the afternoon, we returned home full of good energy and free of burdens. Of course, going out to eat was an excuse to disconnect from all the things that overwhelm us these days, but it turned out perfect because I got caught up on all the gossip and events that my two favorite people in the world had to tell me. Please, do not skip the stage of spending time with your loved ones. ☺️☺️
