It has been a long time since I posted — last time I was sharing recipes and little kitchen wins — but today I must tell you a small thing from home. This morning my boy woke up at five. Yes, five o’clock. I was half asleep, then I heard the soft sound of his feet. He sat with his books near the window, I gave him warm milk, and the whole house felt different for a while — calm, like the world was still waking up with him. I felt proud, the kind of soft pride a mother keeps in her chest.
I support this waking up early. When he studies in that quiet hour, he is not distracted by phone or TV, his mind seems clearer, and he finishes a good bit before school. After that we have time for a proper breakfast, for me to pack his tiffin without hurry, and even a little time to talk. It makes the morning less chaotic.
I have heard from doctors and read small articles that morning light and regular routine help the body. They say our body clock likes regularity, and when you wake up with the sun a bit, the mind becomes alert naturally. People who wake early often feel less anxious and more ready to work. Also, the house being quiet helps children concentrate, no sudden messages, no noise, just study and focus.
Our elders always told us about Brahma Muhurta — that time before sunrise when everything is still. My mother used to wake up for her puja and reading, she said the mind listens better then.
I am not telling everyone to wake at five tomorrow and change life overnight. Start small, maybe half an hour earlier, keep the books ready, and do it with patience not force.
