Hey, hey everyone! š
How's this day looking on your end? Any plans for the rest of the day? š
Personally, I've been wanting for a while now to go on a picnic with my boyfriend since I didn't have a picnic from the college years so some good time passed ever since. In plus, it was a good excuse to enjoy another ride with the bikes and explore some less known paths in the woods.
We didn't wait too much and we stopped at a supermarket to get a few snacks and water because we couldn't properly bring with us lots of food because we were travelling by bicycle and our backpacks are quite small. Not to mention about the blanket that was filling most of the backpack's space, huh!
We started by first taking another ride on the side of the park that we already knew, having a break on a bench next to the fishing spot I showed you in my previous bike post. After we hydrated ourselves and made the plans on where we could possibly find a suitable place to lay the blanket and enjoy the picnic, we hit the road again.
However, it's a little bit improperly said "road" because we actually ended up going up and down on narrow paths from the park that were created by the tires of other bikes, which turned into lots of adrenaline felt in our veins but which soon was going to be well rewarded with tasty food and some good hours of peace, silence and the beauty of nature.
As I said there wasn't really a lot of food in our picnic due to the lack of space in our backpacks and the fear not the have these deteriorated by the hot temperature, but we still enjoyed eating pastries and tasty donuts that are my guilty pleasure.
After 2-3 hours of feeling properly reconnected with nature, we decided to have another ride in the woods even if that was on the opposite side from our home. This is a road that sooner or later will take you to the Zoo and the ASTRA open-air museum which I'd love to rediscover one day but while cycling.
I know that it might seem like not much but I'm used to enjoy simple moments of life and this is what a fantastic day looks for me which is actually described more in feelings and emotions rather than words. In plus, we added 15 km more on our cyclocomputer that I can't wait to upset with new records. š
