The past years have been except for some small highlights here and there in an average shit show. I mean who am I to complain, seriously the world has gotten a shit dumpster. Idiots took over the world. Why the heck do we need a war in this century? Anyhow work and private this was a challenge for all of us. Some managed to get the best years ever. Well, I hope for 2023 on that one.
Although I need to thank some people that it did not get worse. I will do that individually and directly not laying it out here.
Shadows on the wall
There was a song, right? Although I put light on the wall. Leaving the rest in the shadow. What you see is as always a light painting single exposure. Since it gets dark very early this was an easy one after work when the office turned dark and I was the only one remaining in the building on the 30th of December 2022. Thank you all the Hivers for the endless support here. Fuck yes!
Still in Berlin, I had to try at least a little bit of a light painting here. For 2023 I hope for some travels and hopefully some interesting adventures destinations and spots that excite me. Some Ideas are building up and of course, I will continue to share this here with you. This month it will be 4 years on the blockchain with continuous presence. 2022 wasn't the year I posted every day but at least once a week. I hope I can increase my output again but be patient with me. Time is a tricky one.
What I did here is simply use a flashlight and point it at the wall. Dragging torch along and gravity the Letters and Numbers. The tricky thing here is that you don't see a result. The feedback loop has to happen in your head.
The first shot is a 19-second long exposure at ISO 100 and F22. The Berlin version is just a few seconds longer at 25 seconds of exposure time.
So time to let this old year behind and look forward. No worries I am not going to lament about what happened in my year. If you scroll down you see I wasn't unproductive. There were some highlights yes. I hope I can create many more in the new year. Anyone who wants to collaborate this is your moment to reach out and pitch some ideas here!
