Light Painting an ancient Tree at Dead Horse Point, Colorado
Many times you have seen trees on this channel. Here is yet another impressive specimen. Not sure how old it is, I would guess 1000+ years.
Put into the proper light.
Viele Male habt Ihr hier Bäume gesehen.
Richtig ins Licht gesetzt.
The last shot of the night
Everyone was already dumping their gear into the truck when I laid eye on this tree. I have seen it during the daytime but well it wasn't a must 'shoot-before-you-leave'. But here I was just got a cool camera rotation from the cliff and dragging my gear when pretty much all was still set up. My brain said, just through some light at the tree and see what comes out.
That's what I did here. The one below is in sequence actually the first image. Mixing some color into it just got to happen. It does not mean you must like the colorful one better. You are here to choose.
Here you see me and my simple setup.
The images you see are first short 4.1 seconds and a 15 seconds-long single exposure time photograph. The camera was set to ISO 100 and the second to ISO 1600 and the Canon 16-35mm F2.8 Lens was set to F2.8.
Then I just added some Light from the side and that was it.
You know I always look out for trees. This is a pretty exciting one and it's kind of in the 'shadow' of the all-so-famous tourist attraction that leads all eyes away from that tree. Glad I have seen it before I went back to the car and leave.
When you turn around you would see that when there is daylight.
We explored a few areas in and around Moab, Utah, and ended up also at Dead Horse Point.
The Spot during the daytime
This amazing view ís what distracts people from seeing the amazing trees. This spot is just outside of Moad looking into the Canyon Lands National Park.
Of course, I wasn't alone. If you follow the blog you remember my trip to the US in August. Our Meteor Jam means meeting friends and hunting some shooting stars. Dan, Sylvia, Camila, and Erin made the entire experience much more fun and so much more social.
Moab we are coming back! Just a matter of time.
I hope you found these images inspirational. If you have more questions please do not hesitate. I am happy to share my knowledge.
If you think this is Spam, why did you read this far and why the fuck bother you? Move on from your self-righteous mind state and bury yourself. Don't bother about what others may find interesting. Just stay in your bubble and ...
All there is left to say is Cheer Up!
