It was supposed to be a nice two-night Light Painting adventure with some enthusiastic Light Painting friends. Well, I was able to join only one night. Meeting up with Light Painters is always super nice, some that are also here on Hive are 
These buildings have been left alone for decades. Kerstin organized for us to be able to play for two nights freely around the property.

Die Hauptaufnahme für diesen Beitrag ist hier ein Light Painting mit Kameradrehung und Stativwechsel fotografiert in einer Einzelaufnahme direkt in der Kamera.
What were the settings?
What you see is a featured Light Painting is a single 115 second exposure time photograph. The camera was always set to ISO 100 and the Lens to F2.8 in the first step for the hangar and then F22 for the dog to finish off the image.
Was Ihr als Cover Light Painting seht ist eine einzige Aufnahme mit 115s Belichtungszeit. Die Kamera war auf ISO 100 und das Objektiv auf F2.8 für den ersten Teil der Belichtung um den Hangar einzuleuchten und dann F22 für den Hund eingestellt.
First, the lighting the Hangar twice.
The camera head looks slightly downwards so it to creates space for the dog in the center after rotating the camera by 180° and lighting the hangar a second time. So first I light the hangar twice then I walk to the other tripod that was set up around the corner.
Der Kamerakopf ist leicht nach unten geneigt, um nach einer Drehung der Kamera um 180° und einer zweiten Beleuchtung des Hangars Platz für den Hund in der Mitte des Bildes zu schaffen. Also als erstes den Hangar zweimal einleuchten und dann die Kamera zum zweiten Stativ bringen um den Hund einzuleuchten.
To complete the image I had to put the dog between the two hangars.
When I saw the result first I had a huge smile on my face - just like the dog graffiti.
Before we actually started Light Painting we all were exploring the property and everyone chose the spots to light paint later. To do that is best when the sun is still up. The day was almost perfect for that. The sun was setting around 6:30 pm no clouds and not very cold and about an hour later we were all spread around and started light painting in small teams. For me I chose to start Light Painting by myself.
Bevor wir mit Light Painting begannen, erkundeten wir die gesamte Umgebung und jeder suchte sich die interessantesten Stellen aus, wo später gelightpainted wird. Das geht am besten, wenn die Sonne noch da ist. Dafür war der Tag fast perfekt. Die Sonne ging gegen 18:30 Uhr unter und etwa eine Stunde später verteilten wir uns alle und begannen in kleinen Teams mit dem Lichtmalen. Ich war diese Nacht ganz alleine unterwegs.
The night went way too fast and I was hoping to get more out of this super cool location the next day. That did not happen but that's a different story.
Die Nacht verging viel zu schnell und ich hatte gehofft, am nächsten Tag mehr aus dieser supercoolen Location herauszuholen. Das ist nicht passiert, aber das ist eine andere Geschichte.
