Las 7 vidas son un mito, los gatos pueden sobrevivir a grandes caídas debido a su “reflejo de enderezamiento” a través del cual sus ojos, junto a los órganos del equilibrio situados en su oído interno, le indican dónde y cómo se distribuye el espacio. De esta manera, los felinos pueden aterrizar sobre sus patas sin sufrir daños considerables.
