I took a few shots of the backyard this morning. It's sunny but cold, about -4 C. It is most likely the last winter day because if the forecast holds, even nightly temperatures should remain above freezing well into the first week of April.
The average time for the 24-hour average temperature to go above freezing and persist there is the last week of March in this region. The change in weather marks the actual beginning of the spring regardless of what date it is.
Based on that, I'd say there's about 30-40 cm of snow there.
Shadows are pretty strong now.
Snow will be gone from the most exposed parts of the yard like the patio first.
