As per an earlier post, I've really enjoyed getting out doing some street photography over the last few months. The below images were taken from a visit to Leeds.
One tact I have taken is to stand in front of a colourful backdrop and waiting for someone to walk through the shot. With the aid of a fold out display on the camera I've been able to do this a bit more discretely then if i was stood with my camera up to my eye..
As I was there first thing in the morning too I was able to go into the Trinity Shopping centre while there were hardly any people. The lighting was quite harsh which created some lovely shadows and from the 3rd floo I was able to shoot the ground floor and isolate people in the shots..
I also snuck in to the cinema in the shopping centre which had a cafe attached. I want to show this first as I love this shot with a faded teal preset added in Lightroom..
Below is the bar, and a lighting fixture above the entrance..
People Shots..
Reflections..
..and finally, I tried my hand at some panning shots..
As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75
