At the end of time greed finally claimed its price from this world ruled by it. No man would survive the events that took place in that age. This world came to an end leaving behind ruins from a once prospering civilization.
Am Ende der Zeit hat Gier schlussendlich ihren Preis eingefordert von der Welt die durch sie regiert wurde. Eine ganze Zivilisation ging unter und hinterließ nur Ruinen ihrer einstigen Pracht.
But one lone traveler managed to survive the apocalypse. He wandered the earth in search for a purpose. Apart from his trusty companion he found nothing but destruction for a long time.
Ein einsamer Wanderer überlebte die Apokalypse und wanderte über die Erde auf der Suche nach seiner Bestimmung. Doch außer einen treuen Gefährten fand er lange Zeit nichts außer Zerstörung.
But after years of traveling the lone traveler finally found something in the vast emptiness of a desert. A shining portal stood there radiating warmth and peace. What was behind it? Where does it lead? The lone traveler and his companion summoned all their courage and stepped into it.
Nach Jahren findet der einsame Wanderer schlussendlich endlich etwas inmitten einer leeren Wüste. Ein Portal stand dort und strahlt Wärme und Frieden aus. Was liegt wohl dahinter? Wo führt es hin? Der einsame Wanderer und sein treuer Gefährte nehmen all ihren Mut zusammen und schreiten hindurch.
What will the lone traveler find on the other side? I don't know yet, this is as far as I took his story so far. So his future is still undecided.
Was wird der einsame Wanderer auf der anderen Seite wohl finden? Noch weiß ich es nicht. Noch habe ich seine Geschichte noch nicht fortgesetzt und sein Schicksal ist noch ungewiss.
All photos were created using cardboard cutouts in my living room. The people, the wanderer, his companion and the second scene were all done with cutouts. For the light effects and surrounding I used a few different lightpainting techniques like fiber optic brushes and shining light through a cloud of vape. Armageddon and the portal are digital stencils and the desert is made up of sand used in miniatures.
Alle Fotos wurden mit Pappfiguren in meinen Wohnzimmer erstellt. Die Menschen, der Wanderer, sein Gefährte und die zweite Szene sind komplett aus Pappe ausgeschnitten. Für die Lichteffekte und Umgebungen habe ich verschiedene Lightpainting Techniken verwendet wie Glasfaserwedel und farblich beleuchtete Dampf Wolken. Die erste Szene und das Portal sind digitale Schablonen und die Wüste besteht aus Bastelsand.
