So another portion of photos of a winter wonderland from my recent trip arrived :) As I already mentioned, despite the not always favorable weather conditions, there was one good day in each of the three places where we lived.
I took today's shots on Mount Volosyanaya, near the town of Kandalaksha, Murmansk region, Russia. This small mountain is located not far from Mount Krestovaya, photographs of the Northern Lights over which I recently showed.
We lived there for three nights in a house in the mountains, not far from the top of Mount Volosyanaya. Take a closer look, you can see it in this photo: a small red house, almost in the center of the photo.
There is nothing near the house, only a small frozen lake from which we took water, mountain slopes, waist-deep snowdrifts and, of course, snow-covered trees, for which we came here.
With spruces in the snow, everything turned out well this time - there were a lot of snow. And right on the day of arrival at the house, the weather was great, there was a nice sunset, and we had plenty of snowshoes to run around the neighborhood, taking pictures of winter landscapes with pleasure. Besides, it wasn't cold, so we didn't go back to the house until it was completely dark.
In this photo you see a view of the Kandalaksha Bay of the White Sea with sunset colors in the clouds gathering on the horizon. Closer to the night, these clouds began to cover the entire sky, and with some regret we parted with the idea of watching for the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, the next two days there was no weather at all: dense clouds, snow, wind, snowstorm. But in one evening with great weather, I photographed a lot of beauty, which I will continue to share with you :)
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
