Three delightfully colored launches waiting at the pier. I recently took a short vacation to the Maine seacoast. These are three of my favorite photos from the trip. I love the old wooden boats. Launches are used to go to and from the marina from your anchored boat.
Harpswell is an active lobster fishing community with over 200 active lobster boats. Traditionally lobster fishermen would paint their buoys unique color combinations so they could identify them. Although some are using tech to track their traps now. Harpswell, Maine is about about 13 miles south of Brunswick or about 150 miles north of Boston. It is directly east of my home in Vermont so the climate is similar except for the sea 😁
A simple, wooden work boat waiting at the pier. It was a very foggy morning so the brighter colored boats really stood out. Picking your favorite photos from a trip is always hard lol its like picking your favorite child. You fall in love with all of them.
