We had a lovely day today in Vermont! Temperature topped 60F for the first time this spring. Our crocuses (or croci 🤔) opened up again.

Our first crocus opened this week! Lots of bulbs are pushing up through the ground now that the snow is almost completely gone. It reached 60F one day this week. But we do have some more snow in the forecast

Its Vermont Maple Open House Weekend. We visited two maple sugaring operations near our home. Foxglove Farm and Bread Loaf View Farm.

I'm back in Vermont and you know what that means... lots of pictures of Lake Dunmore. Lake Dunmore is located in Addison County, Vermont. I have lived in a small town near Lake Dunmore for the last 5 years

Today is my 9th Birthday on Hive 🎉 I've come and gone and then returned a few times. Same with most of us but some of my friends here have always been here when I returned. Its a lovely community.

A morning walk in the fog in southeastern Kansas. Photos from another walk on my recent trip. It was a nice morning. A little fog and a little frost. But much warmer than Vermont.

I got a glimpse of spring on my recent trip. I visited Kansas which is lost in the midwest of the US. But also pretty much in the south. The crab apple trees were already blooming.

I witnessed an beautiful sunrise in Kansas. Since the clocks fell back this weekend, I was up early and got out with first light.

Pretty day in Vermont 🙂 Sun out and 43F this afternoon. The sun is bright enough to melt a little snow. Last night we got a light snow fall.

Some of the moods on the mountain are very different. Many of the photos end up looking similar but on this morning the low clouds and fog combined for a unique picture.

Its been a pretty winter with more snow than we have got in a few years. Snowy pictures are always fun although lighting can be a challenge in the winter. The sun is lower in the sky, the days are shorter,

We got some fresh snow last night. Probably 6 plus inches. Always nice photographs with new coating of snow. No wind with this storm so the snow nicely coated everything.

Foggy winter morning today. A got several photos before the fog lifted. It cleared up to be a nice day.

Snowy day in Vermont. We got 3-4 inches of new snow overnight. And it snowed most of the day today. Got out for some snowshoeing in the afternoon.

Conditions were right the other day for frost on the trees. It made for a very pretty morning. Nice contrast between the evergreen, pine trees and the frost on the bare maple and birch trees.

I couldn't resist the cheesy "walking on water" joke 😜 We out on the lake this week. Supposedly the ice is up to 2 feet thick on most of the lake.

The snow is hanging around since it is still cold. Some wood stacks under the snow caught my eye. And a couple of old farm buildings.

The destination of my morning walk everyday is Lake Dunmore. I walk down to the lake and out on a neighbors dock then take a picture of Mount Moosalamoo looking across the lake.
