A morning walk in the fog in southeastern Kansas. Photos from another walk on my recent trip.
It was a nice morning. A little fog and a little frost. But much warmer than Vermont.
The predawn walk was very peaceful. No traffic. Some birds waking up. Roosters some where. An owl calling from some nearby woods. Frogs in the swampy area filled by the recent rains.
I was on the edge of a small town where the houses ran out and the farm fields began.
Loved this solo tree on a small rise in a field. There are some cows in this field but they were still down for the night. Farms in this part of the country are a mix of grazing for cattle, hay to be put up and some crops. Some wheat, some corn, lots of beans. Its always interesting to revisit places from your past. Mostly the same but some changes and a few things that are different than you remember.
