Welcome to my #wednesdaywalk hosted by . Today I took the time to slow down and smell (photograph 😊) the flowers. Its spring time in Vermont and wildflowers are blooming. Flower beds are in bloom also.
Purple clover is blooming in the fields.
Dame's Rocket looks very similar to phlox but has 4 petals vs 5 on phlox.
Purple and white to pink Dame's Rocket is very common in this part of Vermont.
I find it beautiful but it is invasive and crowds out native plants. It has an interesting history and is still planted even included in wildflower mixes.
Ok this one isn't a flower but it is still a pretty addition of color in the woods. These are tiny pine cones just getting started.
Not sure on the ID here but hopefully you are here for the pretty flower pictures and not a botany lesson 🙂
Ninebark produces these pretty flower clusters.
Here is some old fashioned weigela with some showy red blooms.
Garlic mustard produces this tiny white flowers and unfortunately is another invasive species.
Lots of white daisies which are always pretty.
I made sure to loop by this neighbor's house to get a look at his Iris bed.
We also got some much needed rain last night which adds to the photographs.
The iris are almost perfect right now.
Finally some columbine back near my house. Hope you enjoyed this #wednesdaywalk and hope you take the opportunity to slow down for a walk of your own today 🙂
