Just look at what happens when citizens give up their guns and weapons.

Venezuela - gave up their guns ~20 years ago. Completely failing socialist cesspool
North Korea - has no guns or weapons in the hands of citizens - absolute disaster of a country for citizens. Mass starvation, death, malnutrition, infant mortality. You name it.
Communist China - Mao took over and took away weapons from people - tens of millions dead
Stalin - disarmed the Russians - millions dead
Britain - took away guns from people but now knives are the weapon of choice and stabbing happens every day.

The “guns are bad” argument is so elementary. The strictest gun law regions of the country are complete disasters - Chicago has some of the worst gun laws in the country. The ONLY people you are hurting with these foolish gun laws are the people who are trying to protect themselves and their loved ones. A criminal doesn’t give a flying fuck about a law against guns - hence the dumpster fire that is Chicago.

The worst atrocities in the world happen when the government are the only ones with the guns.

Are you expecting the government to also give up theirs? Because when people do, absolute tyranny ensues. Look at history to see hundreds of examples of this.
