There is this episode of Rick and Morty, I can remember which it is. It is when where the community reached peak utopia. Dinosaurs came from extinction and changed the world for the better. Everything became perfect; literally. It was so good that everything started to surplus, and you did not have to do anything. You didn't even need money. Now here is the irony, instead of everyone should be happy and things all great, it turned into the opposite. It was fucking crazy. Everybody started to lose their shit. Shit went south completely. It really made me start to wonder, is anything ever enough for a human being? Do we ever get to a point where we don't want things again? It is like, no matter how much money we have, the food we have, or the sex we have, we would never be satisfied. It is kinda sad though, such existence, but it also teaches us to really look for meaningful things to hold on to.
No amount of what you have would be enough. Make peace with that fact and be contented. I think that episode also teaches that there is meaning to suffering. All the struggles and pain we go through are not pointless. We see the result we desire, and it is what makes us willing to bear the sacrifice; hope. It is a very profound episode.
Well, this is one of those typa posts where something just pops into my head and I wanna share it. Thank you for coming to another of my TED TALK AGAIN. Cheers.
