One thing that I am so anxious whenever I withdraw money from an automatic teller machine (ATM) is what if my money gets debited from my account but will not be dispensed. It's too much of a hassle if it happens.
But we can never avoid this kind of situation and it can happen. It happened to me just recently. ðŸ˜
I has been days since I filed a complaint to the bank where I was debited about my predicament and my money still was not credited back to my account. My colleagues who experienced the same with their previous transactions said I need to go to my main bank. So I did. I went to Maasin City. At the main bank, again I had to fill up a form to file a formal complaint. I was advised to wait until 4 weeks for my money to be credited back. It's all I can do as they will do their best to manage the situation. I feel like my time and effort coming there was futile.
I was with my other colleague who had also an important transaction in the city. When we were done, it was lunch time so we decided to had our lunch first before we head back home.
Dissapointed of the result of our transactions, we wanted to at least enjoy a good lunch.
We rode a tricycle and asked the driver to bring us to a nice restaurant but food should be cheaper. As if we were asking our tour guide, hahah. But Manong driver graciously dropped us to a place.
We went inside the restaurant and we're welcomed with a cozy ambiance. There weren't too many people. It was not chaotic even if it was already lunch time. The area is just small with at least 10 tables for diners. The food served were typical Filipino home cooked dishes. Nothing fancy about their food but perfect for a lunch meal. It has two floors. We decided to eat at the above floor since the tables were full at the first floor.
I wasn't really in my element during the time. Maybe because of the hassle that I went through just because I need to withdraw my money. So pictures taken was when we were already on our table.
I really love the ambiance. The interior design, the furnitures, the art works on the wall are aesthetically put into place.
I specially love this mural along the staircase which your eyes get to enjoy if you walk up to the second floor. It adds color and a more delightful mood to its rustic ambiance.
Another is this wood art hanging on the wall. It's not a painting but wood cuttings perfectly fitted into a wood frame. I love it!
This my view from the second floor.
This is the second floor. There were only two tables on this area and one table on the adjacent area.
And the food... These were the food that we ordered. We had one cup rice each and other dishes like fresh lumpia, escabeche, pansit, and ginamay that we shared. The food doesn't really taste special but it was good and we were full. The food specially with this ambiance is perfect for me. We paid 310 pesos or 5.6 dollars for all the food including the softdrinks.
So Manong driver did not dissapoint us when he dropped us here. Kudos to him whoever he is. He knew what we wanted and needed.
When we went outside the restaurant, I was looking for its name on a signage. There was none. I did not see it so we left without knowing the name of the restaurant. It was a shame because I thought of this place worth recommending to people I know who will come to Maasin City. Well, I just hope they get to ride Manong driver's tricycle so he could them here.
