This week MarketFriday:
You may know that I have become father a few days ago. The consequences of being father was discussed on my one previous post: My Fatherhood || The struggle, uncertainty and finally experienced the greatest feelings
There are some rituals of my religion as well as on my country's tradition after a baby born. The most important rituals are to be performed on the 7th day of the baby born. There are 4 major islamic rituals on that day as follows:
- give a name to the new born baby
- cutting hair of the baby
- donating to the helpless people gold or silver as per same weight of hair
- sacrificing an animal like goat, sheep, cow, buffalo, camel etc. that is called Akikah.
There are some other traditional rituals on that day as like inviting neighbours and relatives on that day, praying for the baby etc.
I went to a local animal market for purchasing a goat to do that rituals. That was my this week #marketfriday.
About The Market
It was a local weekly market of animals held on once every week. I went there at afternoon with my brother in law.
There were a lot of different types goatfor sale including some cow and sheep also. The goats were having different colours, sizes and species. Some were looking very nice. I captured some photos of goats from which you will get ideas about the variety as follows:

We was moving around the field shop and searching for a suitable one for us in accordance to the size and price. And finally we got our expected one. It was priced by BDT 8500/-.
We put it on a vehicle and brought to the house..
At last Sunday, it was the 7th day of my baby after born. But there was a problem. My father in law became very much sick. We were planning to complete all rituals and traditional programs on his house.
Due to his sickness, it was not possible to arrange any program there. So we changed decission and planned to give the goat to an orphanage.
So we went early morning of Sunday to an orphanage with the goat and give it for the helpless orphans. The photos while going to the orphanage with the goat..
