Hey Everyone 👋🏻
It’s a brand-new year, and with it comes fresh hopes, quiet prayers, and new beginnings. Happy New Year to my Hive family 🎊
May this year be filled with positivity, good luck, and protective energies 🧿 for all of us.
I chose to begin the first day of the year in the simplest and most peaceful way—by visiting a temple early in the morning. While many people prefer loud celebrations, parties, and crowded places to welcome the New Year, I have always believed that calm beginnings create stronger foundations. Starting the year with faith felt more meaningful to me.
As the sun gently rose, I made my way to the temple of Lord Shiva, carrying nothing fancy—just gratitude, hope, and silent prayers. I asked God to stay with me through every phase of life, to guide my decisions, and to give me the strength to choose the right path. Standing there among devotees, listening to temple bells and chants, I felt a deep sense of peace. It was the kind of calm that reassures you that everything will fall into place eventually.
On my way to the temple, I passed by flower shops that were buzzing with life. The first glimpse that caught my attention was the vibrant display of flowers—white, yellow, pink, and purple, all blooming with freshness. Different varieties of flowers were beautifully arranged, waiting to be offered to God or gifted to loved ones. Due to the New Year, the demand was high and so were the prices, but people didn’t mind. Flowers symbolize devotion, love, and fresh beginnings, making them a perfect part of the day.
After offering my prayers, the rest of my day continued in a very normal and familiar way—and honestly, I loved that. I usually don’t prefer going out for New Year parties because everything feels too crowded and chaotic. I enjoy spending time quietly, following my routine, and soaking in small moments of happiness.
While returning from the temple, I treated myself to a comforting plate of momos. Warm, soft, and flavorful, they felt like the perfect companion for a peaceful morning. Sometimes, simple food enjoyed at the right moment tastes the best.
As the day moved towards evening, I decided to make it a little more special since it was a holiday. I spent my evening cooking for myself and my family at home. There is something very comforting about cooking for the people you love. I prepared veg pulao, fresh raita, and coriander chutney. The aroma filling the house felt warm and homely, adding to the calmness of the day.
I ended my New Year’s Day by having dinner with my family. Sitting together, sharing food, conversations, and laughter felt far more special than any grand celebration outside. It reminded me that the true essence of happiness lies in togetherness and gratitude.
This New Year wasn’t about big resolutions or extravagant plans. It was about faith, simplicity, homemade food, and family time. Visiting the temple, admiring flowers, enjoying momos, and cooking a meal at home made my day complete.
As we step into this new year, I hope we all find joy in our own simple ways. May this year bring peace, clarity, and countless small moments worth cherishing. ✨🌸
