Hello SPIers. Today I doxx myself.
Why? why not? People within crypto like the idea to remain anonymous and HIVE is no different. Personally, I think it's one of its many downfalls because it's hard to build a community with a bunch of people who dont really know each other but im not talking about that today, im talking about SPinvest and putting my face and name to it. SPinvest launched over 3 years ago and to this day, I could not tell you the real name of one of my investors. How many not are active or even how many have passed on? It's just a numbers game, if SPI has 300-400 investors for 3 years, chances are someone that receives dividends each week is not alive, they might even still vote SPinvest posts from their idle account. 👻
Why is that a problem? It's not but at the same time, it can be. Let me give you an example. Shanibeer gets hit by a bus (heaven forbid) and instantly dies. Her partner contacts me after he finds some files on her computer showing her SPI holdings. Well, tuff shit cause I dont know shanibeer or this guy. I can't verify he knew her on his word, if I knew what shanibeer looked like, I could verify their relationship using pictures together, the same address are many other ways like telling me her birthday or something. But because I dont know everything about shanibeer, her 5 figure pile of SPIs that she worked hard for to save has been for nothing. If her partner were not to contact me, how would I ever even know she's passed on? I'd notice she was not active and after 2-3 months, if I knew her real name, I could search google and im sure I'd find something like a Facebook/Twitter/insta/google or apple profile that would have lots of messages saying RIP and confirming she's gone. If i know nothing, well the SPI funds are kinda....
Anyways, I do know shanibeer better than most and we've had a lengthy video call a while back so I know at least her face. Im not asking and will never ask for any investor owning any of SPinvest's tokens to give over personal information. I might ask for a postal address soon from 24-25 SPI token holders to ship out some SPI merch packs to but PO boxes can hide your identity if required. It's not like im gonna order 20 pizzas to your house or get you swatted.
For those that will remember way back when SPI had its partnership agreement, investors were asked to add a beneficiary should something happen to them but most did not want to. Never understood why cause if you are dead and you have no beneficiary, what's the point? I mean we're all gonna die. Each to their own I guess, I personally keep a small black book that contains everything my wife needs to access everything I have. After today, you are welcome to call round for a cup of tea and try to find it while you say you're using the restroom.
Ok, let's get this shitshow on the road!
Why am I doing this?
No idea really, I have nothing to hide and a few people on HIVE will already have my real name and address. I came up on STEEM HIVE through the silver stacking community and we were an active bunch always holdings lots of free contests, lottos and raffles for prizes of silver and over my 2 years when I was involved, some really nice beautiful pieces of silver. I must have received at least 20 different packages from all different people. More i'd guess.
As a project operator that runs a few projects, all related to investment I think it shows that im not here to piss around. All the projects I run are asset-backed investment-related tokens and that's what sets SPinvest apart from the rest, it's my thing, my trademark is asset-backed tokens. People could tell if SPinvest runs a project based solely on its core model. Coming from a stacker background and community where silver/gold is real money that used to be used to back a real currency. It's sort of built into me that anything should be backed by something in an ideal world. This is why I have little love for tribe tokens and farms tokens, basically, 99% of the stuff out there is built on hopeium.
If I am a scammer bullshitting my way through this, something will give at some point, most likely when a large token holder decides to cash out and im not able to pay it. A few people asked me around a year back when everything under SPinvest was worth near $800k if I ever considered just cashing everything out and never logging into the hive again. This question always confused me because it never enters my mind, I mean I own a large slice of SPI, LBI and EDS tokens cause I get high on my own supply so I'd rather see it's value increase as I have more resources available to me through SPinvest than I do personally if that makes any sense. I said this before but if I wanna invest in something on HIVE and there are no options, I create the token I wanna invest in and I pay for all my own tokens the same as everyone else. At least if im fully doxxed, you can at least call the police and report me if I ever do a runner. You could call the tax office and let them know what I've been up to, you'd have 3 years of weekly reports and content to show I've been a busy boy. There are far worse things you could do but im not giving clues, lol.
In the real world, I go by Jonny, I have been married for 9 years, have 2 kids, 1 girl (16) and 1 boy (14) and a chocolate labrador called Fudge. I work full-time as a time-served artisan/home baker for a local bakery. I run crypto investment token projects as a hobby, im not rich are anything, I just enjoy investing and being connected to other like-minded people. I love numbers and consider investing to be a game. A serious long-term game.
I actually enjoy my work as a baker so work is cool for me but someday I would like to grow SPI and tokens under SPinvest into decent-sized funds. It sounds silly but SPI could be worth $5 million in 15 years from now. SPI collected around $13-14k from issuing tokens and we peaked last year at just under $500k, that's like 35x. Might have been luck but based on the fund's value today, another 35x would get us to near $6 million. If we can do what we did in the first 2.5 years over the next 15 years which is 6 times longer, we're good. Compounding is the world's 8th wonder, and compounding at crypto rates for 15 years should yield massive returns from where we are today.
So, when SPI is worth more than $5 million, I'd quit my job and put full focus and attention on SPI. That's what be the end goal and then I'd need to raise the bar to a new end goal.
Apart from that, I have a pretty good life, no drama, no stress and 95% of what I do day to day is stuff I enjoy. Im a lucky dude and consider myself to be winning at life atm. That's my self-DOXX
Would be awesome to see other project operators doing this, if they are honest and have nothing to hide, why not? I mean it's gonna be hard to grow a project into something worth anything without having to share details. Crypto is only going to get more regulated as time goes on. Im not sure how it works outside the UK but as soon as I register anything as a business/fund/investment company my name, parents' names, address and DOB are all uploaded to the companyhouse website. I plan on SPI going legit someday so it's gonna happen for me anyways.
There you have it, alot of you will have known my face already but now you have a name and age to add to that. I'd prefer if no one called me Jonny, I like SSUK and have gotten used to it online. Thanks for taking the time to check out the post, have a great day.
PS, just googled my name to see what comes up. 2 results are all, 1 from a Twitter account I never knew I had and another one about my time selling DVDs on eBay. I've been off web2 social media for a long time. The info above is more than you'll find online with a simple search.
Peace Out!
