First of all I should announce that I am doing #HiveChat next Tuesday (9th) over on Twitter. This will be at 6pm GMT (see here for local time). If you have not done this before the host posts five questions over the course of an hour and people can respond. We should be using #Hive and #HiveChat tags to try and get them trending. I would hope we can draw in some other curious people.
Recruitment and retainment of users are both vital for the future of this platform. We need both creators of good content and an audience who will enjoy and curate it. We need to reach some critical mass where word of mouth can help us build. Perhaps it will take some paid-for marketing. This is something I will include in the #HiveChat discussion.
The $HIVE price has been creeping up over the last month or so. That bodes well, but other coins are up too and so the position on the charts is not changing much. We can hope for a mention by Elon Musk or for WallStreetBets to staty buying it, but I think we need to make it more valuable by making the platform an attractive place to be.
Here are this week's #FollowFriday suggestions of people to check out:
are fairly new here. They are space-faring musicians with a love of crypto. Hive should be a great place fo them and I hear they plan to write a song about it.
joined last year and is working on promoting Hive. He plans to interview various members of the community. That includes me, but we have not managed to find a mutually convenient time yet.
is a British photographer who is also into his running. He just ran his first half marathon this week and I think that is worth celebrating.
is a musiciand and a fellow player of the Rising Star game. He is doing a little giveaway
has an interesting combination of businesses in cars and coffee over in Ireland. They have only just joined up.
I welcome your suggestions of people to follow. We can help build a better community by encouraging people to stick around as well as making our feeds more fun.
