🌸 My Introduction to Hive 🌸
Hello dear Hive family,
My name is Sunitha Biju, and I am so happy and grateful to be a part of this wonderful community. As someone who is new to Hive, I see this platform as a beautiful opportunity to express myself, learn new things, and connect with people from different corners of the world. It feels refreshing to finally step into a space where creativity, passion, and culture can be celebrated together.
I have many interests and hobbies that keep me motivated in life, and I’m excited to share them with all of you through my posts. In this introduction, I would like to give you a glimpse of who I am, what I love to do, and what you can expect from me in this new journey.
✨ My Passion for Cooking ✨
Cooking has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. It is something that truly makes me feel alive and joyful. I enjoy experimenting with flavors, preparing different varieties of food, and, most importantly, serving it with love to my family and friends. For me, cooking is not just about following recipes—it is an expression of care and creativity.
I belong to India, a land that is globally known for its rich culture of spices and flavors. Each spice has a story, a history, and a purpose. Together, they create a harmony that makes Indian food so unique and cherished around the world. From the aroma of fresh curry leaves to the warmth of cardamom and the heat of chili, every spice is like a little treasure.
I live in Kerala, a beautiful state often described as “God’s Own Country.” Kerala is blessed with nature’s beauty, traditions, and a food culture that is unlike any other. Our cuisine is a combination of flavors—coconut, curry leaves, black pepper, and freshly ground spices. Traditional dishes here are not just meals; they are experiences of culture, history, and family bonding. I am very excited to share these dishes and stories with you in my upcoming posts. You will get to see not just recipes but also the traditions, techniques, and memories behind them.
I shared a picture of the traditional Onam Sadya made by myself, the official festive meal of Kerala. A wholesome vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf, it reflects the rich culture and flavors of Kerala cuisine.
Cooking has always connected me to my roots, and now I wish to share that connection with all of you here on Hive.
🎨 My Love for Crafts 🎨
Apart from cooking, one of my favorite hobbies is craft-making. I truly enjoy creating things with my own hands. Crafting gives me an immense sense of satisfaction because it allows me to bring imagination to life. Whether it is something as simple as making decorations for my home or preparing traditional crafts for a festival, each creation brings me joy.
Recently, I made a craft item for a festival celebration, and it reminded me once again how much happiness lies in small, handmade things. For me, crafts are not only about beauty but also about usefulness. Sometimes I create little items that make household activities easier, combining creativity with functionality.
What I love most about crafting is the peacefulness it brings. It gives me time to reflect, to be patient, and to put my thoughts into action. In a world that moves so fast, craft-making allows me to slow down and find happiness in the simplest of things. I look forward to sharing some of my creations here on Hive, hoping they inspire others to also embrace creativity in everyday life.
🧵 My Journey as a Tailor 🧵
Another big part of my life is tailoring and designing clothes. I have been stitching for nearly 20 years, and it has become a skill that defines me in many ways. I started tailoring by making clothes for myself, but soon it extended to my family and friends, who appreciated my work and encouraged me to continue.
Every time someone wears the clothes I’ve stitched, I feel honored and proud. There is something very special about tailoring—it’s not just about fabric and thread, but about creating something that becomes part of a person’s life. A dress stitched with love and care carries a piece of my creativity and heart in it.
Over the years, I have designed many outfits that reflect not just fashion but also comfort and tradition. My dream is to one day open a small tailoring shop of my own. It is a simple dream, but one that I cherish deeply. I am working towards it slowly, and I believe that with hard work and determination, it will come true. Hive feels like the perfect place to share this journey, gain encouragement, and maybe even learn from others who share similar passions.
Every thread I weave, every design I bring to life, carries a piece of my heart.
In the picture, I have shared my tailoring machine, which has been with me for over two decades. It is not just a machine—it is a companion that has witnessed my journey, my growth, and my countless memories. Through joys, struggles, and successes, this machine has remained faithful, working without flaws even after all these years. Its gentle hum feels like music to me, reminding me of the bond we share.
With these hands and this machine, I have stitched clothes for my family, friends, and my dear customers. Each piece I create is made with love, care, and a deep desire to bring happiness and satisfaction to those who wear it. Seeing the smiles of people when they receive what they dreamed of is the greatest reward for me.
This machine holds not just fabric, but stories—of dedication, trust, and love stitched into every seam. It is a treasure that I will always cherish.

Behind everything I do, there is my family—my greatest source of love and strength. I am a wife and a proud mother of two wonderful children. My family gives me purpose, support, and endless joy. I believe that family is the most precious gift one can have in life.
