My helper friend was here on Thursday and the big project was to clean and organize the house plant supplies area. When plants die, I tend to just put the pot full of dirt with its cache pot down in this area. So all of those that had collected needed emptied out, the drainage stones saved for reuse, and everything put back where it belonged.
I also re-organized the shelves with the amendments, so they are all in one section again.
Before we started on the plant area, my helper friend made a soup base for beef noodle soup for supper. All I would have to do is add the vegs and noodles and serve.
Our last project was to take the tote full of luminaria bottles I had received on BuyNothing, empty the sand and dead candles out, sort out the damaged ones and then store them downstairs with my other ones. That filled the shelves and one day we will haul mine out and finish making them.
Then I had a chick order to place and pricing on amendments to get and while I was doing that, he was cleaning and re-seasoning my cast iron.
In the afternoon my husband and I watched Season 2 of Doc Martin. Then he packed the car as he is going deepsea fishing on Friday for pollock, haddock, and maybe even redfish.
