My helper friend was here on Tuesday and one of the first jobs was to finally get the fish caught last Friday ground and into the freezer.
We are going to my mom’s on New Year’s Day and my brother was doing a brunch. So I filled the egg platter a second time to take down.
He’s making Finnish pancakes, so I thought Maple Smoked bacon would be nice. So I lightly cooked up a pound of ours and will reheat it there. I am taking him a dozen eggs also. That will knock down the supply in the fridge. I am also bringing frozen wild blueberries and maple syrup.
One thing I must not forget is this present. It was my mom’s from last year. They stopped in back in October and I totally forgot to give it to her.
My mom got Hadleyware for a wedding gift and over the decades they’ve been broken. So I found some on e-bay. These will be her Christmas present from my sister and I.
I also found something I’d never come across before, these salad plates. So I got them for Mother’s Day and birthday presents for this year from my sister and I.
So I need to get them wrapped, get packed and be ready to go after chores are done this morning. Busy day today!
