Cuando leí el tema *“El futuro es un misterio”*, no pude evitar pensar en cuántas veces la vida me ha demostrado que, por más planes que hagamos, nadie sabe realmente lo que nos espera mañana. Hay momentos en los que todo parece estar bajo control y, de repente, algo sucede que cambia por completo el rumbo de nuestra historia. Hacemos planes, nos ponemos metas, imaginamos cómo queremos que sea nuestro futuro y, sin darnos cuenta, comenzamos a dar por sentado que las cosas van a salir exactamente como las pensamos. A mí me pasó muchas veces. Cuando era joven soñaba con una vida determinada, con una carrera, con una familia y con un camino bastante claro. Pero con el paso del tiempo entendí que la vida no siempre sigue el guion que uno escribe en su cabeza. A veces, de un momento a otro, todo cambia. Y aunque al principio eso asusta, con los años uno aprende que no tiene sentido desgastarse tratando de controlar lo que todavía no ha ocurrido. Me tocó dejar mi país, comenzar de cero en Argentina, adaptarme a una nueva realidad y enfrentar pérdidas muy duras que marcaron mi corazón para siempre. La partida de mi hija María de Jesús, de mi hermano Julio, de mi hermano Joe, de mi querida madre Gladys Maritza, de mi suegro Jesus Sierra y de otros seres queridos me hizo entender que el mañana no le pertenece a nadie. Por eso hoy valoro mucho más el presente. Valoro poder despertar, abrazar a mi esposa Gesmary, compartir con mi hijo Jorge Luis y agradecer por cada día que Dios me regala. Eso es lo que me ha llevado a seguir trabajando, escribiendo y construyendo en Hive, una plataforma que llegó a mi vida en un momento muy importante y que me ha permitido expresarme, aprender y conectar con personas maravillosas. Ya no me angustia tanto no saber qué pasará mañana. Claro que tengo sueños, metas y proyectos, pero también tengo la tranquilidad de entender que no todo depende de mí. Hay cosas que escapan de nuestras manos, y en esos momentos lo único que podemos hacer es confiar en Dios, seguir adelante y dar lo mejor de nosotros. Para mí, eso es vivir con esperanza. Es mirar hacia el futuro con ilusión, pero sin dejar de poner los pies en el presente. Porque entendí que lo verdaderamente importante no es conocer el destino, sino tener la tranquilidad de saber que cada día estoy dando lo mejor de mí por mi familia, por mis sueños y por la vida que Dios me ha regalado.
