Hello esteemed [Shadow Hunters](https://ecency.com/created/hive-179017) community! This week has been extremely hot in this part of the tropics, friends! The temperature is reaching 34°C (93°F), and by the afternoon it feels like 39°C (102°F), so I've had to stay hydrated and arrive at the university very early to avoid getting stuck in Caracas's infernal traffic in the middle of this heat wave. I arrived at the teaching labs and happened to run into an old friend and colleague from the university with whom I had shared classes when we were students. He was surprised to finally see these new buildings up and running. It took more than 40 years to finally see these buildings constructed, equipped, and operational. Since I had arrived early at the faculty, I decided to show her the spaces of these new teaching laboratories. As we walked through the hallways and reminisced about our student days, I glanced out from one of the balconies and noticed this curious geometric shadow. I noticed this triangular shadow from afar, and it seemed to be floating in the air. Only when I looked at it more closely did I realize it was a shadow cast by the stairs on the upper floor. This is the great advantage of the open architecture of these buildings: they are an inexhaustible source of unique shadows. The time of day seemed to help me appreciate this particular shadow, as it was just after 9:00 a.m. and the sun was already rising. Interestingly, if I had arrived a little later, I would have missed this geometric shadow because the angle of the light hitting the stairwell walls and balusters formed this kind of scalene triangle with its three different sides, while the shadows of the bars inside would be cast by the balusters themselves—a simply flawless shadow! My companion looked at me, puzzled by my interest in the shadow cast on the wall. If he knew how obsessed I've become with finding shadows like this, he would understand! Ultimately, it was a very pleasant and nostalgic moment, a series of events that fate strung together to lead me to this brilliant shadow.

Que tal apreciada comunidad de [Shadow Hunters](https://ecency.com/created/hive-179017)! Esta semana ha sido extremadamente calurosa en esta parte del trópico amigos! La temperatura esta alcanzando los 34 °C y solo en la mañana ya en la tarde alcanza la sensación de 39°C por lo que he tenido que mantenerme hidratado y llegar muy temprano a la universidad para no quedarme atrapado en el infernal tráfico de Caracas en medio de esta ola de calor. Así llegué a los laboratorios docentes y casualmente me encontré con un viego amigo y colega de la universidad con el que habíamos compartido clases cuando eramos estudiantes y estaba sorprendido por ver finalmente operativos estos nuevos edificios. Tuvieron que pasar más de 40 años para finalmente ver estos edificios finalmente construídos, equipados y operativos. Decidí entonces ya que había llegado temprano a la facultad, mostrarle los espacios de estos nuevos laboratorios docentes y mientras caminábamos por los pasillos y recordábamos viejos tiempos de cuando éramos estudiantes me asomé hacia uno de los balcones me encontré con esta curiosa sobra geométrica que me pareció fantástica la manera de como se pudo haber formado y es por tanto la sombra que he querido compartirles para este concurso SMASH [round 426](https://ecency.com/@melinda010100/shadow-hunters-community-smash-contest-a9dae81dfe4c)

Esta sombra triangular la note a lo lejos y daba la impresión de estar flotando en el aire solo cuando la aprecié mejor fue que me dí cuenta de que era una sombra generada al parecer por las escaleras del piso superior. Es la gran ventaja que tiene la arquitectura abierta de estos edificios, son una fuente inagotable de sombras muy originales, al parecer la hora del día ayudó mucho para apreciar esta sombra, pues era poco más de las 9 de la mañana y el sol ya se estaba levantando, lo interesante es que si hubiera llegado un poco más tarde esta sombra geométrica me la habría perdido porque justamente el ángulo de la luz incidiendo sobre los muros de las escaleras y barrotes de las escaleras formó esta especie de triángulo escaleno con sus tres lados diferentes, mientras que las sombras de las barras que están en su interior serían de los barrotes, una sombra simplemente impecable! Mi compañero se quedó viéndome extrañado por el interés que le puse a esa sombra formada en la pared y es que si conociera lo fanático que me he vuelto en la búsqueda de sombras como esta lo entendería! En definitiva fue un momento muy agradable y nostálgico al mismo tiempo, una serie de eventos que la causalidad encadenó para encontrarme con esta genial sombra.
